Solomon presented  Being Your Child’s Best Advocate at the Sudbury Special Education Parent Advisory Council meeting on February 24, 2015 from 7:00pm – 8:45 pm at the Goodnow Library, 21 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA. In her presentation, Attorney Solomon gave an overview of the IEP process, including preparing for Team meetings, organizing documents, mandated laws regarding IEPs, making Team meetings productive and when an advocate is necessary.

Hagerty served as a panelist (with Margaret Bauman, M.D. and Susan Senator) on “Where Science, Policy, and Treatment Meet: An Evening with Dr. Isaac Kohane,” sponsored by the Massachusetts Advocates for Children’s Friends of The Autism Center. This took place on Thursday, November 13 at the law firm of DLA Piper, 33 Arch Street, 26th Floor, Boston, from 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Hagerty presented “A Guide to Special Education Principles, Process and Pathways” at the Needham Special Education Parent Advisory Council meeting on November 12, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at the Broadmeadow School Media Center, 120 Broad Meadow Road, Needham, MA.  This free workshop taught families the basics of special education law.

Eileen M. Hagerty served as a panel member at the MHD SEPAC on November 3, 2014 at 7:30pm at the Marblehead Public Library. This was a highly interactive panel discussion for parents and guardians of special education children to gain a better understanding of the process and the different roles attorneys and advocates play.

Joseph B. Green and Nicholas M. Kelley presented at the Massachusetts Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (MABIDA)'s Annual Conference on October 25, 2014. Nicholas M. Kelley presented on Obtaining Accommodations for Standardized Tests Like the S.A.T. and Joseph B. Green spoke on Yikes? We're Going to Hearing at the BSEA: What are our Chances? The conference was held on October 25, 2014 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center.
