Eileen Hagerty presented at “Breaking Barriers: Women in Law Firms,” a free luncheon panel discussion held at MCLE on September 27, 2013 (http://www.mcle.org/). This was the first in a series of luncheon panel discussions inspired by Breaking Barriers: The Unfinished Story of Women Lawyers and Judges in Massachusetts (Margot Botsford, Patti B. Saris, and Barbara Berenson eds. 2012). Ms. Hagerty contributed to the book, which MCLE describes as “an unprecedented, unique account of Massachusetts women’s progress in the legal profession from 1882 to the present day.”

Eileen Hagerty served as co-chair of the MCLE’s 13th Annual School Law Conference, held on May 3, 2013 (http://www.mcle.org/program-calendar/). She has served in this role each year since 2010. As part of the all-day Conference, Ms. Hagerty participated in a panel discussion, “Education Law Update 2013,” which reviewed developments in education (including special education) law during the past year. Daniel Heffernan participated in a panel discussion "Grading the Teacher: What You Need to Know About Educator Evaluation Systems" which reviewed the new Massachusetts comprehensive educator evaluator systems to be implemented beginning with the 2013-2014 school year.
