KC&S is delighted to announce that, as of July 1, 2013, Janine A. Solomon has joined the firm as Of Counsel. Ms. Solomon has significant work experience in the fields of special education and disability discrimination law and policy. She has represented hundreds of children and their families in efforts to obtain appropriate special education services and placements. She has also represented adults with disabilities to obtain necessary reasonable accommodations in employment, housing, and public access cases. Most recently, she was lead counsel in the precedent-setting IDEA transition case, In Re: Dracut Public Schools. This work culminated in a two year project at the Disability Law Center in which she co-edited a comprehensive on-line transition manual, Planning for Life After Special Education. At KCS, Ms. Solomon will practice in the area of Special Education & Disability Rights.
